The Audi R8 V10 comes well-tuned from the factory, but G.I.A.C.'s software upgrade will deliver more power, torque and drivability for the track, and for daily driving.

Benefits include:

  • Increased horsepower and torque gains of 30-35 hp/ 2-4 ft lbs. at the wheels are supplied on the supplemental dyno plot.
  • Improved drivability, with power and torque gains across much of the rev range.
  • Enhanced throttle response for a drive-by-cable system feel.

In addition to the pump performance mode, a G.I.A.C Handheld Switcher along with Race, Valet and "stock" modes are included with purchase. Pump mode has variable switching maps for 91 and 93 octane fuels. Race mode has maps that require 100 octane fuel.

Why G.I.A.C.?

G.I.A.C. is a software engineering company with two decades of experience tuning cars. They are known for creating "factory smooth" performance software with exceptional power and reliability.

Their software replaces the standard software in your car's engine control unit. It is programmed to adjust ignition timing, fuel delivery, fuel metering, boost settings, rev limiters, and/or speed limiters to optimize performance and, in some applications, fuel economy.

Performance-tuned programs are designed to dramatically increase torque and HP without sacrificing smooth drivability. Many programs are also created to accommodate numerous after market performance modifications.

Who is G.I.A.C.?

G.I.A.C. is focused on designing after-market software for Porsche®, Audi®, Bentley® and VW® cars, not to mention a long history of tuning BMW®, Volvo®, Mercedes® and many other European makes on a case- by-case basis. G.I.A.C. is also behind unique Flashloader Software and handheld switchers, which enable remote controlled chip switching for easy switching between multiple G.I.A.C. programs and the stock program.

What They Do

G.I.A.C.s development team employs proprietary G.I.A.C. software and a variety of debuggers, emulators and scopes to tackle the most complex tuning problems. Their dedicated research facility in Irvine, CA houses a 4WD Mustang Dynamometer and state of the art tools for developing and testing software. Expertise in software and circuit design, combined with an understanding of embedded technology, enable them to offer a broad range of tuning solutions.

G.I.A.C. Philosophy

Tuning is an art. To tune for optimal performance is to tune for a careful combination of speed, strength, and agility that varies as driver tastes vary. G.I.A.C. exists to tune cars for the way people like to drive.

The G.I.A.C. Upgrade Policy

G.I.A.C. will provide free lifetime upgrades to original G.I.A.C. software customers. Upgrades apply to current versions of the same type of software. There are no upgrade paths for certain software, such as for larger turbo packages. Please inquire with any questions you may have regarding this policy. Also please note that all G.I.A.C. chips advertised on this site are for US spec vehicles unless stated otherwise.

Dynamometer test results from the G.I.A.C. MD-500 Mustang dyno are included here. The graph plots three runs (wheel HP and TQ) for a 2012 Audi R8 V10 on 91-octane fuel. The first run is with factory programming. The second and third runs are with the G.I.A.C. pump performance program on 91 octane fuel. All runs are performed with a full aftermarket exhaust system and factory intake system in place.
